Suzanne, the Crooks & Liars site pointed me your way to listen to Lullaby. It moved me to tears. Beautiful. Book yourself into the Birchmere or the 9:30 Club in DC, and i'll be there, front and center.

My partner, our son, and I met you and your music on the first RFamily cruise.
That night I fell truly in love with your voice, your music, and especially your lyrics.
On last year's cruise after your show, I stopped by the gift shoppe and purchased both of your CDs, which I am so happy you signed for me.
I have nearly worn them out, honest!!
I have adopted The View From Here as my creed. I am trying to see the good I have each day for whatever it is. Even my bad "views" are likely much better than those that many people have to see on a daily basis.
Just wanted you to know that the song makes me lift my face to the sun everyday, smile, and say "THANKS".

I am so grateful to you for sharing yourself in your song stories. You have "touched" me.............thank you.

BTW...I sat and talked with Judy while waiting for you to sing on the first cruise and made a point of talking to her again last summer. Let her know I enjoyed it immensely.
I saw in my Advocate that she is stepping down. I hope she is well and the departure is for positive reasons. Give her my best wishes for other successes and adventures!! I also say to her, thanks for your contribution to our GLBT community.

Anxiously awaiting new songs!!

Hope to see you both again on the Alaska cruise. We wouldn't miss it!!!

A big fan......Anna

Very excited to hear that you're recording again. Had our second child last December. So busy with the kids we had to skip the trip to Metuchen. (This is why the phonograph was invented, I guess.) Have to find a way to get you closer to our zip code next year. Watching you perform is watching someone completely in their element; it's a real treat. Keep up the great work and we'll keep listening!

Hey, cousin, I haven't heard from you for a while. I wonder if you are touring anymore, that I might see you in Virginia. We been listening to your CD's instead of trying to find public radio on our travels in the car. Keep healthy!

Hi Suzanne, my name is ken lawrence I'm 43 years old blind and have just found your sight today in reaction to the reminder of women helping women and the show with dar williams a week from saturday. they send me all the goodys and that is because i asked for info about another concert they had a couple of weeks ago with cindy bullens. well never heard of you so went to cd baby and bingo. well goofed the spelling, that what i get for using the microsoft speech. don't like it but it's the only way i can listen to the audio samples. well forwarded to all my blind friends and a few of the music contacts and well love the voice. going to the contact link now and then the mailing list link. thanks.

Suzanne, I'm glad I found your site. It's good to know that you're doing what you were born to do: create, perform, entertain. You've always been a natural, but it's obvious you've been working hard at it too!
I hope I'll get a chance to see you perform live sometime soon!

Sorry I haven't stayed in touch with you. But you have been in my thoughts. Celia

April 11, 2005

Hi Suzanne,
Laran here, from Kerrville and the Kerrville Folk Festival. How are you. I have your CD playing in my car at this point in time. I will refresh your memory on who I am. I am a singer with a degree in Music, and I spoke to you about backup vocals last year. I met you three years ago at Artz Rib House in Austin for SXSW, along with Elani Kelakos.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you to keep up the good work and Man, I look forward to the musical. That is what I want to do with my talent, perform in musicals. No longer opera.

Please let me know if you are needing a harmony vocalist. I would be honored and greatful for the experience and learning.

I will miss you at the Festival this year. Wish you would be there.

With Love and laughter,
Laran

Dear Suzanne,
I have seen you a few times in Jersey, and though it has been awhile, I cranked your 2 CD's this weekend during a road trip. What can I say, it made the ride short to the point, I needed more car time to hear it over and over.
Thanks for the passionate lyrics and great melodies!!! Always sounds like the first time... Let's just say, "the view from here" is perfect!

March 24, 2005

my girlfriend sophie is not too much into music. standing in front of my 2.500 cds today i asked her anyhow: what you wanna hear? her answer: the song about the trees and the birds of that girl we saw a couple of years ago at that festival in texas, haven't heard it since. and tomorrow i'll visit my ex. my lullaby-ex, if you know what i mean. seems like the right moment to tell you i love your music since that first hot noon you played those three songs at new folk in kerrville. hope to see you over here in germany one day. whatever you're gonna write or not, at least 'lullaby' and 'except for me' and 'simple things' will save you a place in the pantheons. best, martin
